In a heart-wrenching call to action, Uzu Okagbue, the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), has condemned the rising tide of violence in Anambra State, describing it as a “reign of blood and terror.”

Okagbue, still fresh from a spiritually uplifting Sunday worship, was jolted back to the grim reality of insecurity in the state after visiting the hospital bedside of Ifeanyichukwu Muokwue — a victim of a horrifying kidnap attack in Umunnachi just the night before.

According to Okagbue, Muokwue had undergone major surgery in the early hours of the morning following a brutal onslaught by gunmen.

The YPP chieftain revealed that Muokwue was not alone. The hospital ward was filled with other victims, each bearing gruesome gunshot wounds, fractured limbs, and trauma that spoke louder than words.
