Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work at the International Conference Center project in Awka.
Governor Obiano made his feelings known during an inspection visit to the project site, and commended the Ministry of Housing for working day and night to ensure completion of the project as scheduled.
He said when completed, the International Conference Center will be one of the best in the country, and can accommodate any crowd with its ten thousand sitting capacity.
The Governor also expressed delight with the contractor for doing a good job.
Commenting on the spate of insecurity in parts of South East zone, Governor Obiano assured that Anambra will continue to fight crime to a hault, calling on the perpetrators of violence and crime to leave Anambra or regret their actions.
The governor further assured that the police and other security agencies in the state are combat ready to fight criminals.
