Anambra Govt. Reassures  Of  Free, Fair Credible Governorship Election

Anambra State Government has restated its determination in ensuring free, fair and credible November six governorship election.

The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba, gave the assurance when he received in audience, members of the Reputation Summit Planning Committee, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Anambra State Chapter, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

Mr. Adinuba described the theme of their summit as most appropriate and part of their own little way of contributing to the stability of Anambra State and the country in general.

According to Commissioner Adinuba, everyone has benefited from the secured atmosphere in the state, warning that the state will not tolerate any threat to the culture of peace it is known for.

Earlier in his speech, the leader of the team and Chairman of the Committee, Dr Ikenna Umeanolue, explained that the visit was identify with the Commissioner, and to inform him of their proposed Reputation Summit with the theme, “Challenges of Insecurity in Nigeria, Implications for National Stability and Reputation”.

Dr Umeanolue commended Commissioner Adinuba for effectively managing the reputation of Anambra State, saying that they consider the theme very important for discussion due to the various challenges currently facing the country.

He also extolled Governor Willie Obiano for his efforts in contending with security situation in the state.

In a vote of thanks, the Public Relations Executive of the Reputation Summit Planning Committee, Mr. Theophilus Ukoha, thanked the Commissioner for the warm welcome.

Among the NIPR visiting team was the Vice-Chairman, NIPR Anambra State Chapter, Sir Fidelis Umeh.
