
The Anambra State Judicial panel of Inquiry on police brutality has on Thursday summoned former commander of Akwuzu Special Anti-Robbery Squad unit,
Retired Chief Superintendent of Police, James Nwafor to answer for the numerous cases of human rights violations and extrajudicial killings levelled against him
According to media reports, chairman of the panel, Justice Veronica Umeh, made the call during the hearing of Emmanuel Iloanya, whom Nwafor was alleged to have extra judiciously killed his son, Chijioke Iloanya in 2012.
Cases against Nwafor have so far appeared in 90 per cent of the 18 petitions heard at the panel.
During the end sars protest, James Nwafor was accused of numerous extrajudicial killings and human right violations.
Although Nwafor is yet to publicly confirm or deny the allegations, he is rumoured to have absconded the country.
