Anambra judiciary targets better justice delivery service with public complaints desk

The Chief Judge of Anambra State, Honorable Justice Onochie Anyachebelu has said that courts in Anambra State would soon introduce public complaint desks to get feedbacks from the public on legal proceedings and other court-related matters.

Justice Anyachebelu disclosed this when the
members of Justice Sector Reform Team, Anambra State, paid him an advocacy visit in his office at the State High Court, Awka.

According to Justice Anyachebelu, the launch of the public complaint desks would begin with the Federal High Court, Awka, and then extended to other courts under the jurisdiction of the state.

The Chief Judge also alluded to the visitors’ request for courts to designate particular days for the trial of criminal cases only, noting that a timetable would be drawn to have magistrates oversee each case only on an assigned day.

The members of the Anambra State Justice Sector Reform Team were led by the Technical Committee Chairman, Justice Peter Obiorah.
