Anambra Police Command Denies Report On Attack At Ihiala Checkpoint In Anambra
Anambra State Police Command has debunked report that gunmen, on Tuesday, 8th November, 2022, attacked police checkpoint at Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area of the State.
The report also claimed that many people were feared dead, while others were injured during the attack.
A release by the Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) Anambra Command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, urged the public to disregard the information which he described as mischievous.
The release reads, “The Command wishes to let the members of the public know, that there is no such incident of any attack on police checkpoints in Anambra state.
“Please kindly disregard it, it is an act of mischief makers who want to incite tension in the state. The Police shall continue to provide security and enhance peace in the state.”
