Anambra Police Embarks on Deployment of Officers to Black Spots to Curb Crime In the State

Daily Trust - Anambra police arrest 151 suspected cultists in 15 days

Anambra State Police Command has kicked off aggressive deployment of Police operatives to various parts of the state.

According to Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed, the operation began after threat analysis and intelligence gathering which the State Command embarked on to stem the tide of crime in the state.

To that effect, traffic serial surveillance, patrols and traffic control aimed at ensuring that the people are adequately protected and secured, especially during this ember periods are ongoing.

SP Haruna also stated that the Command has also taken note of black spots such as Nkpor roundabout, Upper Iweka Axis, Idemili, Owerri Road, Onitsha, Enugu- Agidi road, Nnobi junction, Ifite Okpuno and other flash points.

On that note, the Commissioner of Police, John Abang has assured the public that the law enforcement agencies will continue to collaborate and ensure safety and security of all citizens before, during and after the Christmas and new year celebrations.
