Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano, in a statement released by the Commissioner for information and public enlightenment, Don Adinuba,
lauded the honour bestowed on Chimamanda, pointing out that she inspirits the Anambra essence of committed intellection.
He also added that the award was timely as the world was celebrating Chinua Achebe’s 90th birthday posthumously.
Obiano further expressed confidence she will sooner or later win the Nobel prize for Literature.
