Anambra State Government on Thursday shut down the Royal Ambassador Foundation Schools, Onitsha, for violating COVID-19 safety protocols.

According to the Permanent Secretary in state’s Ministry of Basic Education Dr. Nwando Obiano, while speaking to newsmen in Awka,
the schools breached the covid 19 protocols laid down by the government, last week, as regards schools reopening.

The ministry urged parents to withdraw their children from the school, adding that the school would remain closed, as its approval had been withdrawn.

The school had allowed their students and pupils to resume on January 18, 2021, and were receiving lessons without putting on face masks.
