The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has vowed not to be hijacked by a controversial court order, insisting that Chief Sly Ezeokenwa remains its authentic national chairman.
In a statement issued on Monday in Awka, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors’ Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, expressed the party’s resolve to resist any attempt to undermine its democratic structures.
Obigwe’s statement followed the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) recognition of Edozie Njoku as APGA’s national chairman, contrary to the party’s convention in Awka, where Ezeokenwa emerged as the National Chairman.
The State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo had at Mbaukwu at the weekend declared his support for Ezeokenwa, reaffirming his position as APGA’s national chairman.
