The NDLEA has apprehended an artistes’ manager and his accomplice who were involved in selling illegal drugs at high-end clubs in Lagos.

According to the Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the arrest followed intelligence about a shipment of synthetic cannabis from Los Angeles.

The first suspect, Oseni Abdulraheem Ayodeji Babatunde (aka Papalampa), was caught at his home in Lekki when the drugs arrived. He confessed to running the illicit trade for three years and also organizing shows for artists.

He said that ten parcels of drugs were intercepted at the airport, and a search of Oseni’s residence led to the recovery of more drugs and related items.

The second suspect, Nnadi Kingsley Ikenna, who was connected to the shipment, was arrested upon his return to Lagos from South Africa. Femi Babafemi states that he admitted partial ownership of the consignment.
