ASUU Threatens Strike Over Dissolution Of Varsity Governing Councils

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened a nationwide strike over the absence of governing councils in federal universities and other unresolved issues with the government.

ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, made the announcement at a press conference at the ASUU national secretariat in Abuja, warning that the government would be held responsible for any decision the union takes in response to the situation.
