Suspected Insurgents have released a video where five aid workers were executed.
The group is believed to have demanded five hundred thousand dollars as ransom
The aid workers had been in their custody for about a month.
Reports said the terrorists executed the abducted aid workers living in their custody on Wednesday.
The humanitarian workers – five of them included staff of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency, Action Against Hunger, Rich International, International Rescue Committee and a security guard.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the recent murder of five staff of humanitarian agencies, earlier kidnapped a month ago by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.
President Buhari in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, sympathised with the families of the five aid workers.
He prayed that God will comfort them for their irreplaceable loss.
The President assured the families that his government will continue to do all it can to ensure that “every remaining vestige of Boko Haram is wiped out completely from northeastern Nigeria and that the perpetrators of this atrocity would face the law.
