British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson on Friday received his first dose of AstraZeneca’s Covid vaccine, assuring the public that the vaccine is safe.
In a televised inoculation on at St Thomas’ Hospital in central London – the same London hospital where the prime minister battled for his life after contracting covid 19 almost a year ago, Boris urged everyone to go for the janb as soon as they get their notification to, describing it as the best thing for everyone and their families.
The development comes just hours after French Prime Minister, Jean Castex also received the AstraZeneca injection live on television.
The inoculation of the AstraZeneca vaccine jab in Europe has been faced with some challenges in the continent, owing to supply problems reported cases of blood clots in some people after vaccination – a development the European Medical Agency (EMA) has disassociated from the vaccine use.
