The Corporate Affairs Commission has issued a 90-day ultimatum to 100,000 companies, threatening to delist them over prolonged inactivity and failure to meet regulatory obligations.

According to the CAC, affected companies have either been inactive for over a decade, failed to file annual returns, or didn’t disclose Persons with Significant Control, as required under the Companies and Allied Matters Act.

The Commission stressed that any company struck off the register will be deemed dissolved and must cease all business operations unless restored by a Federal High Court order.

The move aims to sanitise Nigeria’s corporate registry, boost transparency, and align with global anti-money laundering standards.
