The Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP Flag bearer for Awka South Two ahead of next year general election, Barr. Ifedi Josiah on Saturday 29th October 2022 has flagged off his campaign to represent the people of area in the state house of Assembly.
The event which held in the country home of the grassroot politician in Ndiagu Village Mbaukwu, pulled many government functionaries , Party faithfuls alongside other well wishers who thronged the venue to cheer and witness the historic event as he officially declared his campaign open.
In his welcome address, the Director General Chief Ifedi Campaign Organization, Mr. Morgonu Ifeanyi, commended the people of Obizi, members of PDP family including other political parties present for what he described as herioc solidarity in coming out in their numbers to cheer and support Chief ifedi.
Mr. Morgonu stated that PDP is strategically positioned to win the House of Assembly election than ever in Chief Ifedi’s candidacy and called on Ndi Obizi to look beyond party affiliation and premordial sentiments and vote massively for PDP candidate describing him as compassionate, competent and result oriented.
Contributing, Barr. Emma Odum, who is the Awka South PDP local government Chairman, explained that Chief Ifedi is the candidate that deserves multi-partisan votes of Ndi obizi in the coming elections explaining that Chief Ifedi’s philanthropy for the past decades cut across party lines and have equally brought tonics to many families.
Chief Odum also added that Chief Ifedi is well- prepared, properly educated and fully – Baked for the Job which if elected with inter-face with all and sundry for optimum results.
In his contribution, the immediate past state Chairman of PDP , Hon Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, appreciated the people of Obizi for their massive support and turn out urging them to replicate the support at polling boot by electing Chief ifedi further stating policy making style of Chief Ifedi when elected, will touch the nooks and crannies of the constituency.
Concluding, the PDP candidate for Awka South 2, Chief Ifedi, thanked the people for their organic presence which he described as a visible shorthand that there will be victory for the party in 2023.
According him, the massive and unprecedented support being shown to him despite short notice in terms of turn out was a lavish assurance that the people of believe in him.
He announced that thousands of women across the community will be empowered again this yuletide season, assuring them that he has instructed his campaign team never to restrict database members of PDP but to captured anyone who should be captured.
Roll call at the event revealed that several PDP leaders from state level, Directors of Chief Ifedi Campaign Organization, and party faithful including Chief Emeka Igwe, the PDP Flagbearer for House of Representatives Candidate Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Moses Anene, Chief. Emeka Eze, and several others were all spotted.
The event climaxed with merriments, group photographs with Chief Ifedi and those who had won numerous gift items including motorcycle, fridges and Air-conditioning at several Ideal Suite Competition solely sponsored by Chief Ifedi.
