The Awka Zonal Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association Dr. Kanayo Onalu has encouraged the citizenry to take advantage of the ongoing administration of COVID-19 vaccines to get vaccinated.
Dr Onalu who spoke to the press in Okpuno, Awka South Council Area, said everybody should be part of the exercise to reduce the spread of the virus.
The Chairman also encouraged them to continue to adhere to all COVID-19 protocols of constant hand washing, application of hand sanitizers, maintaining social distancing, and wearing of face masks.
He also cautioned people to be careful this Easter period, which usually witnesses a lot of activities, warning that Coronavirus is real.
He urged people participating in such activities to take necessary precautions to stay safe.
