A violent clash erupted among Fulani youths in Katampe, Abuja, during Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, reportedly over a dispute involving a girlfriend.
Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama revealed on X that the fight, which broke out around 7:30 p.m., saw dangerous weapons used freely, leading to a public disturbance. Police swiftly intervened, but the youths fled into a nearby bush.
Two injured victims, Isiaka Abubakar and Isiaka Mohammed, were rushed to Jareal Hospital in Mpape. Reports suggest such altercations frequently occur during major celebrations in the area.
