The Federal Government on Wednesday presented audio and video recordings of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in an Abuja Federal High Court.
The materials, played in open court, were used as evidence to support terrorism charges against him. The prosecution’s second witness, identified as BBB, testified behind a court-provided screen and confirmed that Kanu admitted making the broadcasts.
One of the recordings was a Radio Biafra broadcast from October 20, 2020, during the #EndSARS protests, where Kanu allegedly urged youths to attack and kill police officers and soldiers. The case is being heard by Justice James Omotosho.
