The Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos, has cleared singer Naira Marley, music promoter Sam Larry, and Primeboy of any involvement in the death of late musician Mohbad. Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, following legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), ruled that they have no case to answer.

However, the court approved the prosecution of auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe and Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sadiq, for reckless and negligent acts leading to his death. The DPP’s report stated that Mohbad sustained an arm injury in a fight, which was poorly treated, resulting in his death.
