Traditional rulers in Dunukofia Local Government Area, have urged their counterparts in Njikoka and Anaocha council areas to appeal to their children to shelf their ambition of going to the green chambers this time and allow Dunukofia council Area for the interest of equity, justice, and fairness as well as brotherhood to produce a representative.

Our Correspondent reports that the monarchs made the appeal after a closed-door meeting of traditional rulers of Njikoka, held at Njikoka Local Government Area headquarters, Abagana.

Speaking on behalf of the monarchs, the traditional ruler of Ukwulu, Igwe Peter Uyanwa, disclosed that for the past twenty-four years, both Njikoka and Anaocha have represented Dunukofia, Njikoka, and Anaocha federal constituency, adding that Dunukofia is the only local government in Anambra State that has never represented her constituency at the green chambers.

Citing a communique issued at the end of the meeting, Igwe Uyanwa maintained that sons and daughters of Dunukofia are known to be passionate about discharging any duty assigned to them, hence will do well if given the opportunity to represent and legislate at the green chambers.

Contributing, the traditional ruler of Ifitedunu, Igwe Emeka Ilouno, appealed to all political parties to zone their House of Representatives position to Dunukofia, in order to promote equity, justice, and fairness in Old Njikoka stating that Dunukofia and Anaocha local government areas were carved out of the old Njikoka in 1996.
