End Sars protest: Nigeria police to free all protesters

Despite the dissolution of the Special Anti Robbery Squad SARS by the inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, #EndSARS protests still went on in different parts of the country. The protesters, as they poured out into the streets, demanded extensive reforms of the Police Force.

In Lagos, at least one person was shot, a policeman of the anti kidnapping unit was also kills while two others are in critical condition in an undisclosed hospital. Commuters in Lagos were also stranded due to the massive traffic gridlocks in different parts of the state.

The #EndSTARS protests also took place in Federal Capital Territory FCT, Abuja, Anambra, Osogbo , Osun State capital and Illorin, Kwara State.

Protesters, made up of largely Nigerian youths are asking for the release of all arrested protesters,Justice for all deceased victims of police brutality and appropriate compenastion for their families.

They are also asking for increase in police salary , so they are adequately compensated for protecting lives and property of citizens, among other demands .
