The family of late Usifo Ataga , Super TV CEO, who was stabbed to death has cautioned bloggers peddling false stories with the intent to malign the late Usifo, his wife and children to desist forthwith.

In a statement by the Solicitor to the family, Rickey Tarfa and Co and signed by Olusegun Jolaawo (SAN), the family urged the general public to allow the police conduct their Investigations without any distraction or interference. He also asked all bloggers and Online Media platform to pull down the false publications and several ordinarily unrelated stories and pictures of the deceased wife or an action to seek redress in court for libel and slander will be instituted.

They acknowledged that the suspect has been arrested but the family is convinced that there is more to the murder of Usifo, given the Malicious stories that are planted to embarrass the family.

The family has therefore called for in-depth investigation of the murder, urging them to go beyond only arresting the suspect and reiterated their plea to the citizens to allow police to do their job.

Meanwhile, the 300 level student who is a prime suspect in the murder of Usifo Ataga , Miss Chidimma Ojukwu has said she has not killed before and was afraid to die.

In a quote attributed to her by Cable News Online, she said she regret killing the man and has no idea what the future holds for her but she doesn’t want to die from this case.

She also said that during the police parade, she was only trying to comport herself and not that she wasn’t remorseful of what she had done as the public thought.

Regretting everything she did, she pleaded with the Ataga family to forgive her for what she had done. She prayed them to forgive her and if she could change the narratives of what happened that day, she would bring Usifo back to life.

The family of Usifo has also called on the general public to volunteer information that would help solve the murder case rather than spread rumours.
