Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho was on target as Celtic FC held Serbian giants FK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) to a 1-1 draw in their Europa League clash on Wednesday night.

Iheanacho gave Celtic the lead in the 55th minute with a composed finish, displaying his trademark sharpness inside the box. The goal marked his second for the Scottish champions since joining, underlining his growing influence in the squad.

However, Crvena Zvezda responded later in the second half with a well-taken equaliser, ensuring both teams settled for a share of the points in a tightly contested encounter.

The match lived up to expectations, with both sides showing glimpses of their European pedigree, though clear-cut chances remained limited after the equaliser.

Celtic will take positives from Iheanacho’s form as they prepare for their Scottish Premiership clash against Hibernian on Saturday, while Crvena Zvezda turn their focus back to domestic competition.
