The governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo has tasked Ndi Anambra to ensure they play their part in whatever little way they can as his administration continues its relentless efforts to create a secured, livable, smart, and prosperous homeland for Ndi Anambra.
He made the comment on Sunday at St Matthew Catholic Church Amawbia , as the church marked its 2022 harvest and bazaar.
He said that part of his administration’s resolve is to ensure they reduce to the barest minimum the prevalent of corruption in public service and they intend to achieve it making it a rule that no public servant is allowed to make open donation of cash at public functions.
He said that when a public servant earning less than N500,000 is invited to a public event and pressurized to donate N1,000,000, he will go back to his office looking for where to steal such huge amount he donated out of pressure.
He vowed that Anambra will be great again but everyone must make contribution and sacrifice to achieve it.
Other dignitaries at the event were; Chief of staff to the governor; Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Commissioner for Special Duties; Barr Sly Ezeokenwa, Anambra Central Senator; Iyom Uche Ekwunife, and the National Chairman of APGA; Ozonkpu Victor Oye , who played host to the entourage, among others.
