Gunmen abduct three persons in Anambra community

Report has it that tension was high in Nkpologwu, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, after unknown gunmen kidnapped three people, including a lawyer, early Sunday morning.

According to report, the abductions occurred between 7:30 and 8:00 AM, as the gunmen stormed different locations in the community.

A somersaulted vehicle, believed to belong to one of the victims, was found along the Nkpologwu-Akpo Road.

Professor Ferdinand Ezeiruaku, President General of Nkpologwu Community, confirmed that two of the victims are based in Abuja and the third in Port Harcourt. They were in town for a local women’s group event. Ezeiruaku expressed concern for their safety and urged the public to pray for their safe release.

As of the time of filing this report, efforts to reach the Anambra State Police for comments were unsuccessful.
