Gunmen kidnap businessman, worker in Kwara.

Suspected gunmen have abducted a businessman, identified as Sikiru Bosere, and one of his workers in Jebba, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State, on Sunday night.

The incident reportedly occurred around 10:30 pm when they were about to drive into their residence.

Sikiru, who deals in charcoal exportation, was taken away by the gunmen along with his assistant identified as Mr Philemon.

A source told Newsmen that “the kidnappers had laid ambush around his residence at Labour camp, Jebba and attacked them while his boy was about to open the gate when they arrived.

The Public Relations Officer of the state command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the incident to our Newsmen on Monday saying that one of the victims has been rescued.

He said the police have since launched “a search and rescue operation.
