The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), has called on the Anambra State Government to pay over ₦900 million owed for diesel supplied to power streetlights.

Chairman of IPMAN Enugu Unit, Chief Chinedu Anyaso, raised the concern on Sunday in Enugu after the association’s 2025 Annual General Meeting.

He warned that failure to settle the debt could worsen fuel distribution challenges and push pump prices to as high as ₦3,000 per litre.

Anyaso said eight members owed by the state government had died in recent months from stress caused by mounting bank loan pressures.

He noted that IPMAN would again write Governor Chukwuma Soludo on the issue, insisting urgent action was needed to avert crisis.
