The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has warned politicians and individuals in the South-East against diverting the ₦250 billion allocated for the newly established South-East Development Commission.
In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB stressed that the funds must be used strictly for developmental projects, including road expansion, hospital rehabilitation, new healthcare facilities, and power plants.
The group called for transparency, urging authorities to avoid wasting funds on frivolous seminars and foreign trips. IPOB also emphasized the need for a secure environment and government support to ensure effective implementation of projects that will benefit the region.
