A Nigerian civil servant, identified only as Daniel, who relocated to the UK in 2022, has disclosed he still receives his monthly salary from Nigeria, despite not reporting to work.
Daniel, now a taxi driver in the UK, revealed to the BBC that he continues to receive N150,000 monthly due to an understanding with his boss.

This revelation comes amid a crackdown by the Federal Government on employees drawing salaries without formal resignation.

President Bola Tinubu has ordered that such employees refund the money and that their supervisors be punished. Despite this, Daniel remains unconcerned, citing his higher earnings in the UK.
