The Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, on Friday, September 11, 2026, inaugurated the Ka Anyi Dozie Anambra Volunteers and Ambassadors Network (KADAVAN), at Amawbia Town Hall.
Perfoming the ceremony, Dr. Ibezim urged residents to take ownership of government projects and embrace value reorientation to build a better state.
He commended the founder and members of KADAVAN for the initiative, stressing that while the Soludo administration is investing heavily in infrastructure, citizens must protect and sustain the investments.
“This is the kind of forum where we ask ourselves what we want to do because posterity will never forget you. We are now living with animals in Anambra. That is why I like this organisation because they value change,” he said.
The Deputy Governor called on Ndi Anambra to support Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s projects, noting that the government is working to give the people a new orientation amid decaying societal values.
Chairman of the occasion and Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, Dr. Law Mefor, described KADAVAN as a critical partner in the state government’s value reformation project under Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo.
“The core objective of KADAVAN is exactly the same as the mandate of value reformation in the ministry. That means our partnership is made in heaven. We must cooperate. If we go together, we will go very far,” he stated.
He maintained that “Ka Anyi Dozie Anambra” must become the rallying cry for citizens who want to see a rebirth of Anambra’s values, adding that while many things have gone wrong in the state, Anambra has also produced global examples of excellence, including Governor Soludo who served as CBN Governor for five years.
“The question is: can our youth still see and emulate these examples? That is the issue. We must hold them up,” he said, adding that the ministry is now building “a coalition of the willing” to rescue society from eroded values and restore the virtues Anambra was known for.
Delivering the keynote titled: “Together We Build a Greater Anambra,” the Dean of Student Affairs, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Prof. Kingsley Uboji, stressed the need for people to be consistent in doing good, be conscious of what they have resolved and avoid waiting for tomorrow to start in order to build a better society.
In his remarks, former Managing Director, Anambra State Civic and Social Reformation Office (ANCISRO) Sir Chuka Nnabuife, thanked God for giving the Soludo administration the wisdom to start the value reformation agenda, and urged volunteers to see themselves as history-makers.
Earlier in a welcome address, the KADAVAN Founder and General Coordinator, Comrade Okechukwu Cyril Nwuche, said the group was born out of the conviction that building a greater Anambra cannot be left to government alone.
