Socialite and businessman Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged abuse of the naira and money laundering.

He was picked up in the Omole area of Lagos and taken into custody in Abuja. E-Money was reportedly seen spraying naira and dollar bills at a public event.

Though the EFCC is yet to release an official statement, this arrest is part of a wider crackdown on naira abuse—coming just days after singer Terry Apala was remanded for a similar offense.
