She was honoured on Friday as her flag-draped casket was carried up the Capitol east steps and brought to the historic Statuary Hall.

Her relatives, US lawmakers and other dignitaries, including Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi were in attendance.
An honor guard laid her casket on a catafalque; a black-ribbon-draped wooden stand; the same one that bore president Abraham Lincoln’s body after his assassination in 1865.
Ginsburg, who died September 18 at age 87, was the second woman to serve on America’s highest court, and was known for changing the face of US anti-discrimination law.
President Donald Trump had also paid his respects to the late justice at the Supreme Court on Thursday.
