Manchester United’s English defender Harry Maguire, has been released from police custody owning to the defenders reaction during the English Premier League football match between Leicester City and Manchester United at King Power Stadium in Leicester, central England.
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire was released from Greek police custody Saturday as evidenced by the TV footage ahead of a hearing on assault on the Greek island of Mykonos
Wearing a baseball cap and mask, Maguire was shown leaving a courthouse on neighbouring Syros island, accompanied by what appeared to be members of his legal team, and boarding a dark minivan.
The England centre-back’s hearing has been set for Tuesday but he is not obliged to be present.
Manchester United was quoted as saying in a statement available from their official website that that the defenders appearance in court on Saturday August 22nd, has been adjourned to allow the legal team make proper decisions and consideration into the case file.
In the mean time, Harry had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Manchester United had also revealed after the hearing that it would be inappropriate for the player or club to comment further on the case while the legal process takes its course.
