Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks, Culture and Tourism team has taken the enforcement drive on business registration to Nnewi.

According to reports, the team visited Jideofor Hospitality, Frenzy kitchen, CD195 Arena Events Centre, B Robinson Coffee House, De Castle Kitchen, while KDR Kitchen De Royale was sealed.

Acting Director of Hotels and Hospitality, Mrs Stella Anah pointed out that the drive would prompt operators to come to the Ministry for their registration.

She said that the aim of the registration exercise was to gather data of all restaurants, bars, nightclubs and eateries operating in the state for the ministry’s website and documentation.

She said that they organised workshops on food safety and good hygiene practices earlier, to ensure that every restaurant, bars, nightclubs and eateries in the state operate in a clean environment.

She also said that more announcements on the registration will be done to to further sensitise the public.

Mr Abuchi Nduba, a consultant to the Ministry said that those registered would be given codes and their facilities would be uploaded to the Ministry’s website.

According to him, it will also help the people coming into Anambra to locate any restaurants, bars, nightclubs or eateries of their choice through Google applications.

Also speaking , the Coordinator, Anambra State Restaurants, Bars Owners Association, Nnewi North and Chairman De Castle kitchen, Mr Akin Ezuluka, enjoined operators of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and eateries to comply with the government directive.

He, then, promised to sensitise others on the need to register their facilities.
