More Than 1000 Cattle Found Grazing On Farmlands In Mangu, Plateau State Detained By Military Personnel

The troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) have apprehended over 1000 cattle and a substantial number of sheep that were grazing on farmlands owned by local residents in Dumunan village, Bwai district of Mangu LGA., Of Plateau State.

This is part of their continuous efforts to address security concerns in the Council Area.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the cattle came from Bokkos LGA, while the sheep originated from Barkin-Ladi LGA.

Thebanimals are currently under the custody of the troops for further necessary actions.

It is noteworthy that the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division NA and Commander of Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General AE Abubakar, had previously made a commitment towards tackling the underlying causes of the crisis and to prevent any factors that could trigger renewed attacks in the general area of Mangu.

The recent action taken to apprehend these livestock is part of their efforts to fulfill this promise.
