NAFDAC busts illegal factory, uncovers N50 million illicit drinks

In a collaborative effort between the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control and the Nigerian Army’s 15 Field Engineering Regiment in Badagry, an illegal alcohol manufacturing factory has been taken down in the Badagry area of Lagos State.

NAFDAC disclosed this in a post on X.com on Thursday, stating that the operation targeted one Chinedu Okafor, who was running an illicit drinks manufacturing operation from his residence located at No. 24, MTN Road, Badagry.

NAFDAC further revealed that Okafor will face prosecution, and all offending products will be destroyed, with an estimated value exceeding ₦50,000,000.
