The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control is warning Nigerians about the circulation of counterfeit Cowbell “Our Milk” sachets.

According to NAFDAC, the fake product looks similar to the real 12-gram pack but is produced with poor packaging, ink-printed batch numbers, and rough sealing. Unlike the genuine creamy milk, the counterfeit poses serious health risks.

Officials warn that consuming the fake milk could lead to food poisoning, allergic reactions, organ damage, or even death especially for infants, children, and pregnant women.

Consumers are advised to purchase only from trusted suppliers and report any suspicious products directly to NAFDAC.
