All is now set for today’s protest planned by the National Association of University Students, NAUS, in Abuja to press home their demand for reopening of tertiary institutions.
Speaking as a guest on our Radio Kpakpando phone-in/Audience participatory Program, “Focus”, the Director of Welfare, NAUS Anambra State Chapter, Comrade Ifeanyi Ifedigbo, stated that the peaceful protest was to bring to the fore light the plight of Nigeria students under the novel Covid-19 era.
Comrade Ifedigbo hinted that the protest is expected to have in feature students and executives from National Association of University Students, NAUS, National Association of Polytechnic Students, NAPS, and National Association of Nigeria Colleges of Education Students, NANCES, among others.
He also informed that the protesters will converge on the premises of the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, and that they have informed the International Human Rights Commission, IHRC, Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Service, DSS, on the planned peaceful protest.
