The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has intercepted 66 parcels of loud, a potent cannabis strain, disguised as green tea at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
In a statement on Sunday, Spokesperson Femi Babafemi said the 62.2kg consignment arrived from Thailand via the UAE.
It was flagged for surveillance weeks before its discovery on June 5.
In a separate operation on June 2, NDLEA operatives also seized 1,665kg of skunk along the Lekki-Ajah Expressway, arresting two suspects.
The agency continues its clampdown on drug trafficking.
