Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress Suspend Planned Strike

THE Organised Labour comprising of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, has suspended its planned strike scheduled to begin today. According to the leaders the suspension is to enable further negotiations with the Federal Government.

This was part of the resolutions reached at the end of the meeting late Monday evening which was attended and signed by Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President; Festus Osifo, TUC President , Joseph Ajaero, President, NLC; , among others.

They also resolved to continue engagements by the TUC and the NLC with the Federal Government and secure closure on the resolutions made
