Normalcy returned to Anambra State as businesses reopened on Friday following a one-day shutdown during the #EndBadGovernance protest.
On Thursday, shops were closed and streets were deserted, but by Friday, commercial activities resumed.
The state’s Police Commissioner, CP Nnaghe Itam, praised residents for avoiding the protest and maintaining peace.
A trader, Mrs. Onyekachi Ogini, expressed her disinterest in joining the protest, attributing the situation to those who voted for the current government.
The police commissioner reaffirmed their dedication to public safety, enhancing security patrols and surveillance to prevent crime.
They encouraged residents to remain vigilant, report any criminal activities, and provided contact information for various police units to report lawlessness.
