Northern Senators Praise Tinubu For Releasing Minors Detained Over Protests

Northern Senators have expressed appreciation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to release minors who were detained during the #EndBadGovernance protests. In a statement from the Northern Senators Forum, signed by its Chairman, Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, they commended Tinubu’s commitment to protecting youth rights and well-being.

Tinubu directed Attorney-General Lateef Fagbemi to expedite the release following public outcry over the minors’ arrest and arraignment in Abuja on November 1.

Yar’adua also acknowledged Northern leaders who advocated for the minors’ release, highlighting their dedication to youth welfare.

The Forum called on leaders to prioritize children’s safety and education to foster a supportive environment for youth development.
