NYSC Management made this known in an official statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, adding that the three-week long orientation exercise will run for 21 days in all the NYSC orientation camps nationwide.
The statement also notified that the exercise will commence with the reception and registration of prospective corps members on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and that the process will continue until midnight of Friday, April 24, 2026.
The NYSC management further announced that prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two service year will take their oath of allegiance during the swearing-in ceremony to take place on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The orientation programme, which is a key component of the national service year designed to prepare graduates for their service to the nation, is expected to end on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
NYSC management while wishing the mobilised Nigerian graduates safe journeys to their respective orientation camps across the country, re-emphasized its warning against night travel.
The prospective corps members were advised to break their journeys once it is 6:00 p.m. and pass the night at safe locations such as Corps Members’ lodges, military formations, police stations or outposts, or the palace of a traditional ruler anywhere in the country before continuing their trips the following day.
