On Foreign News,

Ghana’s former finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has been declared wanted by the country’s special prosecutor over corruption allegations.

Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng accused Ofori-Atta of causing financial loss to the state, particularly in the controversial National Cathedral project, where $58 million in public funds were allegedly misused.

He is also implicated in an $83 million contract scandal involving the Ghana Revenue Authority and Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd.

The new government, led by President John Mahama, has launched “Operation Recover All Loot” to retrieve misappropriated state funds.

Authorities say Ofori-Atta has refused to return voluntarily and have not disclosed his current location. The OSP has vowed to take legal action to bring him to justice.
