Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola has praised President Bola Tinubu for signing the new tax reform bills into law, calling it a bold move to make Nigeria’s economy more transparent and investment-friendly.

In a post on X, Otedola said the reforms would simplify taxation, promote fairness, and restore public confidence in how revenues are used. He added that the changes would help unlock productivity and fuel inclusive growth.
President Tinubu signed four tax bills on June 26, including the Nigeria Tax and Revenue Service Bills. The new tax regime will take effect on January 1, 2026, following a six-month sensitisation period.
