Peter Obi has restated his vow to serve only one term if elected Nigeria’s president.
In a statement on Sunday via X, the 2023 Labour Party candidate said leadership should be defined by impact, not longevity.
Citing figures like Mandela and JFK, Obi emphasized that real change can happen in four years.
He dismissed critics questioning his sincerity, reaffirming that his record in Anambra shows he delivers on promises.
If elected, Obi says he’ll prioritise security, education, healthcare, and support for SMEs, aiming to transform Nigeria into a productive economy powered by agriculture, technology, and manufacturing.
He insisted the one-term vow is a principled, personal commitment, not a campaign gimmick.
