Anaocha Local Government Council, under Chairman Comr. Rome C. Ibekwe, launched a Skills Acquisition Programme on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, to empower 500 local youths with vital skills for employability and entrepreneurship.
The initiative, endorsed by Governor Soludo, features training in Soap Making, Shoe Making, Yoghurt Making, Cosmetology, Bag Making, Granola Making, Fascinator Crafting, Catering, Solar Energy, Tailoring, Computer Literacy, Hairdressing, Makeup, and Decoration.
Comr. Ibekwe emphasized the programme’s role in driving economic growth and reducing youth unemployment, reflecting the council’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for young people to thrive.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by local officials, community leaders, and enthusiastic youths eager to embark on this transformative journey.
