President Muhammadu Buhari returned to the country yesterday after eighteen days in the United Kingdom.
According to the President’s special adviser on media, Femi Adesina, he landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 18:15 pm on Friday.
Recall that in an earlier statement by Adesina, the President had travelled on July 26 to attend the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) organised Global Education Summit (GES) before undergoing a scheduled medical check-up.
Speaking further on the president’s return in an interview on Friday, Adesina, explained that the president was in good shape and high spirits, as his medical visit was just a routine check and not emergency. He also added that the president’s presence at the GPE submit and subsequent meeting with UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson was fruitful and well appreciated.
While in London, President Buhari also met with a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, in the wake of the recent crisis rocking the party.
