Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has held his first Executive Council meeting at the newly inaugurated Government House in Awka.
The meeting, held on May 19, 2025, marked the beginning of the phased relocation from the old makeshift site used since Anambra’s creation in 1991.
The new Government House, described as a mini city, boasts 37 buildings and was commissioned two weeks ago by President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement, Commissioner For Information Dr. Law Mefor described the meeting as historic and symbolic, breaking a 34-year jinx.
Governor Soludo prayed that all decisions made in the new chambers would bring unity, prosperity, and lasting impact to Ndi Anambra and beyond.
